For over a decade, I’ve specialized in creating visually striking motion graphics that captivate audiences and elevate storytelling. My work has earned prestigious awards and nominations, reflecting a commitment to both creativity and technical excellence. While much of my work serves regional audiences, several of my commercials and visual projects have reached national platforms. Though motion graphics are my primary focus, I’m a versatile designer with experience in print, digital, and interactive media. As a kind of “graphic engineer,” I develop dynamic VizRT templates that producers rely on to build newscasts and streamline live storytelling. I’m fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud, skilled in coding broadcast graphics, and experienced with 3D platforms like Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine. I’m always experimenting with new tools to stay ahead in this constantly evolving industry. With AI now either threat or friend, I am able to take salvageable output and turn it in to something useful.

THEATRE PROJECTIONS

THE WIZARD OF OZ

In the early stages of developing the Wizard of Oz projected backgrounds, I was determined to move beyond traditional movie projections. With just two months to create the whole experience, I leveraged Unreal Engine to design dynamic projections, embracing a new style of creative power. While I faced some challenges with quality compared to my usual editing comfort zone, I’m inspired to explore a future project that combines both video and software creation for an even richer experience. I found that I had more control using this type of media and no mistakes could be made within it. It also allowed for resizing of any screen and not being restricted to 16:9. I may begin a side venture by creating my own projection software at some point. 

The Oz head was the only movie file in the show and it was projected on a separate projector and run out of Q-lab. The video below was shot by my daughter with her cell phone during a live performance. 

The Sound of Music - IMP

I put this one together in two weeks. I used Unreal, After Effects, Photoshop and Qlab once again. I did not have all the info together at once to create software this time. The show featured ever looping clouds and changes to time, weather and scenery live on stage.
